Good service - funny guys behind the bar. Food was very good (especially the pie). Unfortunately, they don't have many UK beers on tap (or we haven't really asked about it😅 ) - anyway: a great experience!
I had the 3 for £16.50 sharing platters and chose Karaage Sticky Chicken: this was absolutely delicious especially the sauce! The pan fried prawns & chorizo: prawns were lovely but not keen on the chorizo which was a bit soggy. And the fried haloumi: that was also delicious.
I had the sharing dessert which sounded delicious but was very disappointed with it. The bar lady warned me they had no strawberries & would substitute with orange but upon arrival it was very unappealing to look at because all they had done was broken up a probably shop bought waffle, meringue and brownie, sliced up part of an orange thrown/mixed it altogether and poured on strawberry sauce. Not one raspberry in sight. Thankfully cream/icecream cost extra but that would just been like having mud pie for dessert! Would not recommend it/choose something else.
Bar staff were friendly & always smiling. Nothing was too much.
Popped in this pub today and although it's well dressed for Christmas and had a lovely look to the place, the service was terrible. One member of bar staff (a glass collector at best) with a pub full of people, didn't know his bar or customer priority at all, and when i asked for a beer mat his response was "Im not sure what that is". Shame, better service would have seen 5 stars.
I recently visited this charming pub, and it was a delightful experience. The cozy atmosphere, complete with warm, dim lighting and rustic decor, immediately set the mood for a relaxing evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, …
Thank you for your reply to my earlier review, however I stand by my comments. On returning the Abbot I requested a Rocking Rudolf to be told there was *NO* ale available, that I should not have been served the one I received. No one was waiting for it to be changed. I was not offered to do so, everyone appeared to be drinking lager. I've only ever reviewed 2 other premises, they had 5 stars for great service. Yours prompted me to review yours with one star.
Lovely pub but I think new owners are a bit inexperienced at the moment. Took ages to get served. Fingers crossed they get better as it's a nice London pub
Very good place. Staff are great, saw there was a medical emergency from another customer, and the staffs reacted very quickly to help and done all the right thing to provide 1st aids. They deserve a medal for this!
They advertise that they have all the sport but can’t work the remote and don’t actually play the games. We asked 6 times over the course of an hour to put the ⚽️ on and they weren’t able to do so. Got here 90 mins before the match start and no joy. I will never come back and I suggest you spend your money elsewhere.
